Golden Plains Wind Farm – East commenced construction in 2023. The project involves the establishment of the first stage of a wind energy facility including 122 wind turbines and associated electrical infrastructure to the west, south and south-west of Rokewood. Rokewood is a small rural town in the Shire of Golden Plains located approximately 60 km north-west of Geelong.
